The Sales Support Associate will be assisting the Sales Manager and Producers with a variety of professional tasks in support of new business and servicing the agency's existing clients. The ideal candidate would be a recent college graduate looking to enter a career in sales/insurance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of tasks as assigned by the Sales Manager. Tasks will largely be focused around preparing new business opportunities to be submitted to Lamb's marketing team.
- Provide day to day servicing to internal clients (Sales Managers, Producers, and Senior Producers (as needed).
- Assist with maintaining and formatting exposure schedules, preparing / reviewing applications, obtaining loss runs and creating loss summaries.
- Research/investigate issues as needed (for instance, Experience Modification Factor changes)
- Set up new prospects and opportunities in the Lamb's proprietary system.
- Prepare audit, benchmarking, and proposal information for new business and large account renewals.
- Continuous, clear, and professional verbal and written communication is necessary with clients, carriers, and internal team members. Other similar tasks, as assigned.
- As experience grows, begin servicing and engaging prospects.
- Responsible for learning, understanding and adhering to our internal timelines, protocols and workflows.
Job Requirements:
- 4 year College Degree, preferred
- 1 to 4 years of experience in a similar position on the agency or corporate side, preferred
- Current P&C Producer License, preferred
- Team player
- Highly comfortable with using various types of computer technology in a fast-paced environment, including strong usage of Excel.
- Successful completion of Agency's internal training program
- Experience with workers compensation, general liability, auto liability, professional liability, property insurance coverages, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Attention to detail, take ownership of your work and make sure it is accurate.
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous deadlines
