The Director of Client Services has full responsibility for Commercial Lines Account Executives, Account Managers and Assistant Account Managers of the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all aspects of the renewal process, including, but not limited to:
    • Account review
    • Assessment of market conditions
    • Coordination with internal claims and risk management resources
    • Coordination and communication with carrier underwriting partners
    • Participation in negotiations on pricing, terms and conditions with carrier partners
  • Policy and Procedure Implementation/ Maintenance/ Audit.
    • File setup and maintenance
    • Ensure Workflow consistency
    • Maintaining Standards and Compliance (IE, communication, notifications, E&O protection, consistent use of Agency Management System(s) by all staff)
    • Responsible for overall team accountability by meeting key service metrics related to retention of accounts, retention of revenue and goals related to timely quoting and presentation of proposals to clients
    • Creating measurable outcomes and performance metrics to be used to for review of Account Manager responsibilities
  • Serve as subject matter expert resource for all team members for both Property and Casualty Insurance and Company Procedures
  • Provide assistance with and resolution to escalated Account Executive and Account Manager Servicing Issues
  • Oversight and management of individual Account Executive and Account Manager workloads, ensuring all resources are optimally deployed
  • Assignment of New Business accounts to appropriate individuals/teams
  • Coordinate with the following departments as part of a high level management team:
    • Finance
    • Claims
    • Production
    • Management
    • Marketing

Qualifications include:

  • College degree preferred
  • 10+ years experience in a similar management position in a commercial lines agency
  • Up-to-date insurance license
  • Experience with property and casualty, workers comp and general liability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Customer service focus - both internal and external
  • Computer literacy, with experience in agency management software
  • Team player
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Outgoing personality
  • Demonstrable success in a similar position
